Armchair

Aldo Rossi, 1992

The Providence armchair and love seat were planned for the Bonnefanten Museum in Maastricht (1990 - 1994) as seats to be used primarily in public spaces, and their form is derived from the Parigi armchair, as if it were a compact, padded version of the chair created for UniFor. The upholstery in red, black, or burgundy leather stands out against the quilted stitching with colored buttons. The first prototype was intended for the architect’s Milanese studio.
